Terms and conditions

 

Allergens:

Fruit cakes may contain nuts, traces of nuts or nut oil. Cakes are made on premises in which nuts are used, every effort is taken to keep ingredients separate, however our products may contain traces of nuts and/or nut oil.

All products produced by Drizzle cake contain Gluten, Eggs and Milk unless otherwise stated.

Collection:

Any cakes that are being collected, must be collected on the day and time agreed, not before. All cakes should be transported either in the boot, or in the footwell of the front passenger seat so they are completely flat. this is the safest place for them. Never place a cake on a seat as they are slanted and damage will be caused.

Storage

Sugar paste ( fondant ) is not designed to be refrigerated, so cakes with this icing should be stored in a cool, dry place in the box in which it was supplied. Refrigeration may cause colors to run and Icing turn sticky. These should be consumed within 5 days from date baked (usually day before collection).

Buttercream cakes should only be refridgerated if room temp is on or above 23 degrees, or otherwise advised. It is best to store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Buttercream cakes shoud be consumed within 3 days from date of baking.

 

Orders

Any cake ordered from a picture or a photo of a cake produced by another cake maker, can only be reproduced as my interpretation of that cake and will not be an exact replica of the cake in the picture.

 

Deposits & Payments

 

A 50% deposit of total payment is due upon booking, the remaining 50% to be paid at least 10 days before cake is due to be collected. ( 25% deposit required for wedding cakes ) Your booking is only confirmed and guaranteed once your deposit has been received and cleared in our bank account. This amount will then be deducted from the final balance. Final balance payments for wedding orders are due 6 weeks prior the wedding date.

Drizzle cakes are fully Insured under the Public liability insurance act.

 

Transport

Unless agreed with the owner, all Products are to be collected from 8 Westhays Close, Plymstock, Plymouth, PL9 9RY. Once the cake leaves the premises, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure safe transportation of the cake. All cakes should be transported in the box provided in the Boot of the vehicle. ( not on a seat,  in the foot-well or on a passengers lap )

 

Cancellations

Confirmation of the order via email and deposit received signals the acceptance of the terms and conditions listed. If a wedding cake is booked and the customer cancels within 30 days of the wedding date, Full balance will be required. If the customer cancels their order between 30 and 90 days of wedding date, 50% of the balance is due.

 

Disputes

Any refund paid for disputes regarding a cake design or a production of a design is completely at the discretion of Drizzle Cakes and is not guaranteed. Full refunds will not be given for any cake which has been consumed as consumption of the cake is viewed as your acceptance that the cake is adequate for the purpose for which it has been supplied. If cake is no longer required due to quality, we can return for a full refund that same day only.  All cakes delivered to venues are photographed form various angles to show cake quality on delivery, therefor we do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to the cake or items with the cake such as knives, decorations and stands. 

 

Publication

We reserve the right to use any image of a cake made by Drizzle cakes for publication in future dates
